Writing Style: Solid
This book had me cracking up! It was so much fun
to read. I just wanted more! There’s literally a picture on every page, so it
took literally three seconds to read. Or at least it felt that way.
The humor ranges from whimsical to slightly
dark, which I think is perfect for this age group.
Characters: Memorable
Our MC, Jamie is seriously funny. She turns everyone into dramatizations from her gross dog, to the mean
girl, to the diabolical lunch lady.
Plot:
Absolute Page Turner
It was too much fun to put down!
Honestly, given the format of it being a diary,
I didn’t expect there to be much of a plot. You know, like I didn’t think that
the beginning would tie into the ending. But I was completely wrong. So many things were
revealed in the end!
Overall:
Obsessed
Overall, I am obsessed with this book! This is the
first book I have read in this series, and I can’t wait to see what the rest has to
offer!
